Kennel Cough Vaccination For Your Dog!

When Playing Fetch becomes a Pain in the Neck

Thank goodness it’s nearly summertime! With all of this lovely weather due and the longer evenings we’re all thankfully getting our dogs out for more walks (hopefully!). It’s a time of the year when our dogs are more more inclined to mingle with other canine friends on their walks.

Vaccination against infectious tracheobronchitis (kennel cough) is recommended if our dogs are mixing with other dogs in any multi-dog environments (e.g. doggy day care, dog parks, dog kennels, even regular parks and beaches if your dog is sociable!). All dogs should be protected against the unpleasant effects of this whooping cough-like disease. It can be spread whenever dogs get together, and a single dog can cause an outbreak of infection.

Getting your dog protected against kennel cough is a simple visit to Anicare Dublin Vets, with branches in Clontarf, Glasnevin, Santry, Blanchardstown and Palmerstown. At Anicare Dublin Vets, the kennel cough vaccination visit includes a full general health check with one of our vets. Please call any of our Dublin branches if you have any other questions. Our staff will be happy to assist you with any queries!
