Blanchardstown Vet Hospital

Expert care for pets in Blanchardstown Village

Blanchardstown Veterinary Hospital first opened its doors in 2006 and has grown to become an important veterinary health care provider in Dublin. The hospital was developed in an existing building which was extensively redesigned and renovated. The result is a modern, welcoming environment where every aspect has been carefully planned to meet your pet’s needs. Located just off the Main Street in Blanchardstown Village (opposite Ryan’s Garage), it is easily accessible for all pet owners from Blanchardstown, Castleknock, Clonsilla, Mulhuddart, Tyrrelstown, Clonee and the surrounding areas. Because of its close proximity to the M50, the team also frequently works with clients from all parts of Dublin and some from as far afield as Wicklow and Cavan. There is plenty of on-site parking for our clients which helps to minimise stress for both owners and their pets.

We appreciate that continuity of care is important and as such, have assembled a close-knit team to care for your pets. Fintan Browne is the clinical director at Blanchardstown Veterinary Hospital. He has been with Anicare Veterinary Group since 1998 and has been involved with the Blanchardstown branch since the design and planning stage before it even opened. Along with Fintan we have Melissa Daly (who has a certificate in exotics medicine),  Roberta D'Antone (who is an amazing cat vet, with a certificate in Feline Medicine and many years of experience in cat centred practice), and Conor Wallace, a 2022 UCD graduate.

Our team of veterinary nurses, animal care assistants and reception and administrative staff helps to keep the practice running smoothly. We provide a level of personal service and attention not just for client satisfaction, but as a central part of providing genuine and compassionate care to our patients as well.

Our facilities in Blanchardstown include a large waiting room/reception area, three bright consulting rooms, modern comfortable kennels with stainless steel cages, a large surgery prep area and theatre, digital X-ray facilities, ultrasonography, isoflurane gas anaesthesia (which is safe for all patients, particularly geriatric animals and exotics), multiparameter monitors and an in-house laboratory. We also work with a number of excellent reference labs so we can provide a wide range of diagnostics with a speedy turnaround time.

Consultant Veterinary Radiologist Emma Tobin visits the hospital weekly to perform advanced ultrasonography examinations.
