SERVICES AND
FACILITIES
Anicare Veterinary Group is a progressive small animal practice located
on the Northside of Dublin. We recognise the increasingly important
role that pets play in people's lives, and we are committed to
providing the best that modern veterinary medicine has to offer. To
this end our four premises are excellently equipped with modern
facilities, and all of our staff are encouraged to participate in
continuing education so that they keep up to date with best practice in
medicine and surgery. Our four clinics have been awarded Hospital
Status by the Practice Accreditation Board of the Irish Veterinary
Council - the highest rank that can be achieved.
Our premises are clean and bright with
modern Shorline kennels to accommodate our patients. Our facilities
include isoflurane gas anaesthesia, x-ray facilities, ultraound
scanning, ECG, blood pressure monitoring, ultrasonic dental descalers,
air-driven dental stations, endoscopy, an in-house laboratory and four
well equipped operating theatres.
Services we offer include consultations,
vaccinations, microchipping, laboratory testing, "puppy parties",
advice on parasite control, geriatric health checks, obesity clinics,
behavioural advice, soft tissue surgery and orthopaedic surgery and
ultrasonography, including specialist consultations with visiting
radiologist Emma Tobin.
We have an excellent working relationship
with the staff in the Veterinary College and with other referral
practices in Ireland. This is an important factor when animals need the
attention of a specialist.
A new independent canine hydrotherapy facility - Blanchardstown Canine Hydrotherapy Centre – has opened just beside Blanchardstown Veterinary Hospital. The service is regularly used by Anicare vets and many other veterinary practices. This is an important addition to post-operative rehabilitation programs and for the treatment of obese and arthritic pets. Our vets have referred patients for hydrotherapy treatment and have seen good results and received very positive feedback from owners. If you feel your pet may benefit from hydrotherapy treatment feel free to discuss it with our vets. Further details on this new treatment are available by calling Susan Reilly, the hydrotherapist, on 8219401. Click here to view her website which contains valuable information on this exciting field.
